When Eve Tesler booked a visit with one of Madame Allegria’s Krave, notorious alien lovers with special, non-human skills between the sheets, she never thought that she’d fall in love with him…or learn about the dark secrets behind the well-known brothel.
Now, after escaping from Everton with Khiva, they land on Dumera, a neutral colony where they hope to start a future together without having to hide in shadows. But the memory of Madame Allegria and the Krave they’d had to leave behind still haunt them, as does the memory of Khiva’s missing mother and brother.
To complicate matters, as they begin to navigate life together in a new, strange place, something unthinkable happens: Eve becomes pregnant.
Eve and Khiva have moved to Dumera and they have established themselves well. They both have jobs and things seem to be going well. But as we learn in book #1, Khiva hasn’t forgotten about his family and those he lost when his planet was destroyed. His need to find his family only grows stronger and he has to do all he can to try to reconnect with them.
I liked how the author explored both Khiva & Eve’s emotions. She went deep into Eve’s ability to put into words her concerns about what changes she saw in Khiva and how they were affecting them. I also enjoyed the connection that Khiva & Eve have, their bond seems to only get stronger as their lives together keep changing. The Prince of Firestones seals Khiva & Eve’s fate. The creation of Firestones can bring many good things to Khiva & Eve’s future while it could also bring danger, but Khiva is willing to risk, because only by risking he will be able to become the man he knows he needs to be for Even & their child.
This is a great story of new beginnings, new possibilities, strong bonds, and deep passion & love. If you are looking for a story that makes you squirm and swoon then don’t hesitate to pick Prince of Firestone.
