Series: The Epicurean Series
Published by Self Pub Genres: Erotic Romance
The undeniable chemistry between food photographer Catherine Kelley and billionaire gourmand William Lambourne has become an unquenchable thirst…
Catherine’s career in Chicago is taking off and the handsome stormy-eyed stranger who recently rocked her world has become -- dare she say it? -- her boyfriend. Dating a billionaire who’s a god in the bedroom and a virtuoso in the kitchen definitely has its perks. But it’s the unguarded, tender moments with William that stir Cat’s heart and reawaken her appetite for love. A weekend trip to William’s vineyard so he can face a painful loss puts their new relationship to the test. Complex and layered, William is at once passionate and sweet, but also prickly and guarded. He’s promised openness, but it becomes immediately clear that Cat’s version of honesty and his are as different as chardonnay and pinot noir. It’s hard to fault William for his secretive ways when Cat knows she’s holding back, too. As the attraction between them gets even hotter, Catherine and William must share all of their secrets before their relationship can truly begin. And little does Cat know how dangerous confronting their pasts will be.
REVIEW: A Sip Of You brings back the amazing chemistry between Cat & William. This time around their relationship keeps developing and moving along nicely after their break up. As Cat comes to terms with her feelings for William, her past comes knocking and threatening her happiness.
Book 2 of the series is focus on William and his demons. How his tragedy has shaped him and how his feelings for Cat go from hot to cold and back again. I like this book just as much as I liked A Taste Of You. Sorcha does a great job describing and giving up a glimpse into Cat’s feelings and insecurities. It also shows us how vulnerable and troubled William is and how much his childhood affects him as an adult.
I like the pace at which their relationship is going, they are slowly moving into a serious and committed relationship without William being very overpowering, intrusive or too demanding. Though his need to protect Cat isn’t unfounded I think as any other man he feels responsible to keep the woman he loves safe. The author kept the same food/sex ratio in this story and to me that’s a key ingredient to maintain this story scorching hot and captivating. I like how William is able to bring pleasures unimaginable to Cat’s body and while doing so opening her mind and soul to feelings she didn’t know existed within her. The sex is as often as food is mention, his is sexy and quite adventurous. Cat is discovering a lot about herself and how much she has come to depend on the type of sexual chemistry and intensity that exist between her and William.
I love every aspect of William, he is still the strong yet vulnerable man we came to love, he is still caring, sexual and he proves to Cat over and over that all he wants is her. Though I have liked Cat to maintain the same strong and independent attitude she showed on A Taste Of You, I felt this time around she has allowed her insecurities to take control of her feelings and actions. Sorcha Grace has given us a great follow-up to A Taste Of You, where food hasn’t lost its lust and sex is the key ingredient to Cat & Williams relationship. Expect drama from Cat’s past and the inevitable confrontation that I am sure will leave readers biting their nails.
I love the sex scenes, they were described and detailed but nicely crafted. They are written with the sensibility we have come to expect from Sorcha Grace. The sex is well entwined with food, pleasure comes in many flavors and styles, the taste not only explodes with the explorations but the distinctive need and desire makes A Sip Of You a very tantalizing, erotic and well crafted love story.
