When Katrina Haynes discovers a large man lying wounded in the snow, she fears he is at death’s door. But as Kat tends to his injuries, she quickly realizes that they’re the least of her worries. With an irresistible Scottish brogue and a strange ability to harden his chiseled body like a statue, the stranger awakens a desire she is unable to resist—and a fascination about the intriguing world he exists in.

As a proud Gargoyle, Ahnvil must safeguard the Nightwalker to whom he’s sworn fealty. But as this bewitching woman nurses him back to health, arousing an almost uncontrollable hunger within him, he is possessed with the fierce impulse to protect her as well. And he will have to shield her—for by coming to his rescue, Kat has placed herself in the middle of a supernatural war . . . and exposed herself to dark, powerful magic. As human and Gargoyle forge an unbreakable bond, Kat will discover that despite his intimidating strength and size, one thing Ahnvil does not possess is a heart of stone.

REVIEW: Forged is book #4 of The World of Nightwalkers Series – a series that I have been following closely and one I love. Forged is the story of Ahnvil the hunk and sexy Gargoyle.

Forged follows the same plot as previous books.  Politics &  Templars engaged in a battle that test everyone’s powers, loyalties and love. Ahnvil falls prisoner to the Templars but is able to escape with the help of a defecting Templar who assists him. While Ahnvil wasn’t necessarily planning or looking for his mate, destiny put her right in his path when he was injured after escaping. Kat is a recluse, a woman who has maintained a distance from people around her, her condition dictates it and her inability to cope and interact with people has forced her to always being alone. That all changes when she finds Ahnvil hurt at the edge of her property. This book has a bit more action and better character development than I thought Forsaken had. Ahnvil & Kat are quite entertaining, their banter and dialogue is refreshing and unique. I enjoyed how their relationship developed slowly, how their past determined the shape of their future and how their differences brought them together.

What attracted me the most about the series is the nature of these characters, their story, their backgrounds and their ideals. I thought Frank did a great job carrying those traits throughout this story. Frank is able to give us a story that doesn’t derailed from the original theme, she captivated us with the fight of good vs evil, with romance that overcomes death and promises of eternal love. The Politics and Templars fight, one for domination and the other for unity. While these two factions seem to be divided the common goal for some of these characters seem to be the same. Ahnvil’s story is one we didn’t have much background about but we did know it ran deep.

The action and romance as well as the steamy scenes were well balanced all throughout the story. I enjoyed Forged very much, the plot kept me glued to the pages and the romance brought a much needed heat. If you haven’t yet read this series I suggest you start now. The World of Nightwalkers is fascinating, enticing and sexy. Stay tune for the 5th and final book of the series Nightwalker – Kamen’s story – come back and read my review closer to release day!
