Description: At the young age of eighteen, tragedy and a dark secret force Lara to flee all she has known and loved to start a new life. Now years later, with a new identity as Amy, she’s finally dared to believe she is forgotten-even if she cannot forget. But just when she lets her guard down, the ghosts of her past are quick to punish her, forcing her back on the run.

On a plane, struggling to face the devastation of losing everything again and starting over, Amy meets Liam Stone, a darkly entrancing recluse billionaire, who is also a brilliant, and famous, prodigy architect. A man who knows what he wants and goes after it. And what he wants is Amy. Refusing to take “no” as an answer, he sweeps her into a passionate affair, pushing her to her erotic limits. He wants to possess her. He makes her want to be possessed. Liam demands everything from her, accepting nothing less. But what if she is too devastated by tragedy to know when he wants more than she should give? And what if there is more to Liam than meets the eyes?

REVIEW: It is not a secret I am a big fan of Lisa and her hot and steamy stories. I am also a big fan of mind fuck sort of plot because let’s face it, I like it hot and mind blowing. Escaping Reality is a great story that has both, steam and mind blowing suspense.

Everything took a turn for the worse the day Lara’s life was struck by tragedy. Losing her life (not by death), her parents and brother has not only disarmed her of her life but also it has taken away her identity. I loved how well developed this story was, Lara has become many people, she has lived many lives but once she becomes Amy Bensen everything changes. The story flows nicely and it gives us glimpses into what Amy’s life has been since losing her family. Secrets and terror are constant in her life, and the need to run and hide is always in the back of her mind. That’s until the day she meets the hot and rich Liam.

Liam is rich, handsome (ok HOT) and kind. His blue eyes inspire tranquility, passion and a safe net. He is everything any woman wish they had in a man, sexy, sexual and a protector. Amy can’t help but feel attracted to him and to be honest I fell for his blue eyes (I am a sucker for blue eyes). I don’t always believe in love at the first sight  but I do believe lust can happen in an instant. Amy and Liam fell for each other the moment their eyes met. His attentive ways, his careful and persistent personality brought feelings in Amy that she didn’t have before, feelings she knew were trouble because it meant distractions and she couldn’t afford to get distracted.  These two characters are explosive together, Amy is smart and intuitive while Liam is smart, protective and possessive.

Escaping Reality is a nicely crafted story that has it all. Passion, secrets, deceit, mind fuck, lust, love and amazing sex scenes. I was totally engrossed and possessed by the characters. It can’t get any sexier, the scenes were hot, the dialog interesting and their interaction explosive. If you enjoy stories with dark secrets, dark past, blurry future, mind games and a touch of steaming sex this is the book for you. While the sex is hot, the twists and turns is what makes the story even more interesting. Fans of Lisa R. Jones will be happy to read this book, I know I was.  Looks can be deceiving!
