"He owns you. Whatever he tells you to do you do".
One year. No future. A past that won't go away.
Lennox "Nox" Demetri broke his own rule by making a deal. It may not have been directly with the devil, but that doesn't mean Satan himself isn't watching. Was it fate that brought Charli into his life and his bed? What will happen when rules are broken and secrets are revealed?
"New rules...my rules."
Alex "Charli" Collins found pleasure with Nox like she'd never known. That was before she knew his last name. Now that Infidelity is involved and the rules have changed, what will result when real life and fantasy collide?
Is it really cheating if you're doing it to yourself?
REVIEW: Cunning is book #2 in the Infidelity series by Aleatha – and it carries out nicely. Now that we have met and experience the hot and steamy chemistry between Alex & Nox we have to prepare ourselves for what’s to come between them. They have slowly come to the realization that they are better together than they are apart and finally understood that what binds them, isn’t necessarily that steamy week they spent together.
Alex and Nox are great characters, their relationship has moved quickly but not without a few bumps. However it doesn’t come without a surprise that Nox’s need for Alex runs more than just sexual, he loves her and knows she is important to him and the same goes for Alex. Their story develops quickly but not without some angst, now that he finally knows who Alex is and what lurks behind her last name Nox does not take it lightly. He knows there are people out there who wants to hurt them and he will do everything necessary to make sure Alex is kept safe.
The story of Alex & Nox isn’t necessarily unique, but the way in which is executed makes it quite entertaining and a hit. Aleatha has a knack for writing great stories with great twists and turns without making it over the top and unrealistic. Cunning explores Alex & Nox’s relationship and their connection. It also puts them in a vulnerable situation now that their feelings have been exposed. Cunning set the ground for some serious drama to unfold in the next installment, now that danger has been brought close to Nox, we get a glimpse into what may come next. I think this time around their story and plot felt more developed and interesting.
Cunning is a great addition to the Infidelity series, it has all the ingredients necessary to keep the readers at the edge of their seat. Love, passion, betrayal, lies and deceit – be ready to fall in-love with Alex & Nox all over again.
