Blood Rights (House of Comarré) by Kristen Painter – Review 5 of 5

Book descriptions: Born into a life of secrets and service, Chrysabelle’s body bears the telltale marks of a comarré — a special race of humans bred to feed vampire nobility. When her patron is murdered, she becomes the prime suspect, which sends her running into the mortal world…and into the arms of Malkolm, an outcast vampire cursed to kill every being from whom he drinks.

Now, Chrysabelle and Malkolm must work together to stop a plot to merge the mortal and supernatural worlds. If they fail, a chaos unlike anything anyone has ever seen will threaten to reign.

Review: Our introduction to Blood Rights comes in the form of Chrysabelle’s being pursued for the death and killing of her sire. Blood Rights isn’t your typical vampire story, there is certain uniqueness to this story that one not always find in the already saturated genre.

Blood Rights has a great plot; the characters are interesting, and smart. This book has the necessary ingredients for a fantastic series. This is a great introduction and one I promise will keep you turning page after page.

Blood Rights is filled with action, passion, murder, deceive and love. It is one to add to your reading list.  This is a quite imaginative story, far different from most of the vampire books I have read in the past. Kristen Painter has a great imagination, the idea of creating a species just for the feeding of vampires is quite interesting, the world behind the Comarre´ is exciting, secretive, one of servitude.

I enjoyed this read a lot. The conflict, the plot, the chemistry between the character makes this book a must read. If you are expecting to find a heroine who falls head over heels for a hot, and somewhat crazed vampire then this isn’t the read for you, in this story, the heroine fights for her freedom, and to keep up the equilibrium between the human world and that of the otherworldly. Malkolm and Chrysabelle’s attraction is one that grows gradually and certain. You can buy the book here.

Great story and characters, for this it deserves 5 ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ (hearts)
