Review:  Where to start? Bad Blood is book #3 of the House of Comarre Series and one that will leave you asking for more. This book as the previous gives you tons of action. In this installment of the book, characters are more aware of their power and needs.

So far the series has maintained its uniqueness, it still has the necessary ingredients and the spark to keep readers interested, however I am starting to notice a pattern that may be dangerous to the quality of the series. The story seems to drag a bit, relationships seem to drift apart and the villains seem to be the one having all the fun.  I was honestly thrown at back because I thought this would be the last installment in the series.

I am not looking for the end of the series but I thought there would be a HEA for at least one the relationships in the story.  Both main characters are still struggling with their feelings for one another. That brings me to think Kristen Painter is probably trying to portray a more stable & stronger coupling than we are used to read in other fantasy/paranormal stories, where the main characters usually fall in love at first sight and a relationship is established based on almost nothing. If that’s the case she is doing a mighty job, but I admit it is driving me bananas.

Regardless of these minor setbacks I enjoyed the read, yes I expected more results from this installment and I was left wondering if there will be a HEA after all. There is a lot going on in this book, new characters are introduced, new relationships and alliances are created, the twist and turns make this story fun and entertaining. Kristen Painter is a great author, one that has certainly created a one of the kind series; the story of the Comarre is enticing and sexy.
