The last time I saw my best friend’s younger brother, he was a geek wearing braces. But when Cannon shows up to crash in my spare room, I get a swift reality check.

Now twenty-four, he’s broad shouldered and masculine, and so sinfully sexy, I want to climb him like the jungle gyms we used to enjoy. At six-foot-something with lean muscles hiding under his T-shirt, a deep sexy voice, and full lips that pull into a smirk when he studies me, he’s pure temptation.

Fresh out of a messy breakup, he doesn’t want any entanglements. But I can resist, right?

I’m holding strong until the third night of our new arrangement when we get drunk and he confesses his biggest secret of all: he’s cursed when it comes to sex. Apparently he’s a god in bed, and women instantly fall in love with him.

I’m calling bullshit. In fact, I’m going to prove him wrong, and if I rack up a few much-needed orgasms in the process, all the better.

There’s no way I’m going to fall in love with Cannon. But once we start…I realize betting against him may have been the biggest mistake of my life.

REVIEW: The Roommate is a sweet, laugh out loud, and swoon-worthy romance that will steal your heart. The Roommate has everything I enjoy in a contemporary romance, it has a sexy guy with a good heart, and a down to hearth girl who struggles with love. The story is great, it starts by introducing us to Connor a med school student who is about to graduate.

While his introduction is far from ordinary, the story has a fantastic background and the characters are quite engaging. I really enjoyed this story, Connor’s struggles felt real and easily relate-able. The story takes us into the world of Connor, a young guy who has had a rough start and dramatic outcomes when it comes to relationships. His life has being struck with loss and a lot of responsibilities, and while they have helped to shaped him into the man he is Connor knows that life always find a way to throw things his way.

The author did a great job creating these characters and their story. I enjoyed the banter, the attraction and simplicity of their found love.  I enjoyed Connor’s story and his childhood flashbacks about his attraction for Paige and how his crush pretty much stayed with him throughout his life. As we meet Paige we can’t help but like her. She is down to earth, sweet, and easily relate-able. She is loyal to a fault and that’s perhaps what I find enjoying the most about her. Her struggles with relationship and the lack of there off is funny and flat out realistic. The best part of the story is how Paige and Connor’s banter goes from a hot attraction to hot/steamy sexual encounters, every single aspect of their story is swoon worthy and flat out enjoyable.

Readers can find themselves falling for Connor and Paige story quite easy, they are both down to earth and not afraid of exploring. While at times they pulled back and considered the consequences of their actions and attraction they were also able to balance out what being separated would mean for them. I think overall the story delivered and the author did a great job giving us a sweet, sexy and hot story that will keep you entertained until its last page.
Readers note: While it says book #1 in the Roommate series – it can be read as a standalone!
