OFF THE SHELF: City of Eternal Night (Crescent City #2) by Kristen Painter

If you follow Kristen Painter’s writing you would know that every book she publishes is a must read. Her writing style is impeccable and detailed. Her stories intricate and her characters heroic. I picked the second book on the Crescent City Series – an spin off series from the House of Comarré which was fantastic. If you are new to Kristen Painter’s stories I suggest you start soon, you will fall in-love with her characters &  their stories.

Why I picked City Of Eternal Night – We were first introduced to Augustine in the House of Comarré when he helped Mal and Chrysabelle, and since then I was hooked on his character. He is handsome, sweet and has a deep sense of loyalty.  Besides the characters, I am always compelled to grab a book by the beauty of its cover, and City of Eternal Night is not the exception – and since I read book #2, it was only logical 🙂

About City Of Eternal Night –

Still coming to terms with their unexpected partnership, Augustine and Harlow have a tentative truce. With Harlow slowly working to accept being fae, Augustine still learning how to be Guardian, and feelings growing on both sides though, they do not have an easy road ahead.

But when a young girl is stolen from the Mardi Gras Exemplar Ball — the biggest far event of the year — Harlow and Augustine must put all their issues aside to bring her home alive. Harlow’s father, Braziano, is of course their number one suspect, but evil lurks in every corner of the city and time is running out. Their only choices: Either find a way to rescue the girl, or Augustine must die.

Curious? Good, order the 1st & 2nd books in the series – and pre-order the 3rd book now!
